Have you ever heard the intriguing legend of Tobavarchkhili (the Silver Lake)?

According to legend, this shimmering lake cannot tolerate dirt. If anyone washes their hands or body in its waters, the lake becomes enraged. No matter how clear the sky may be, it will rain within about an hour—and continue to rain until the proud "Tobavarchkhili" is completely cleansed.

To witness the truth behind the legend and experience the beauty of Tobavarchkhili, we recommend visiting between mid-July and the end of September to fully enjoy nature’s wonders.

According to local folklore, a giant man-eating demon once terrorized the surrounding mountains and villages, kidnapping young men and women monthly. The villagers sought help from a fearless young warrior named Aramkhutu, who camped on Okhachku Mountain to confront the demon. After a fierce battle involving large stones, Aramkhutu defeated the demon by throwing a massive four-cornered stone, creating a huge pit where the demon fell. This victory is celebrated as a triumph of good over evil, with the stone placed where it can still be touched today—a testament passed down through generations.
